Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)

I offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) in collaboration with Journey Clinical.

KAP is a holistic approach that combines ketamine’s rapid-acting antidepressant effects with psychotherapy to help clients achieve deeper insights and lasting relief from conditions such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD. While Journey Clinical’s medical team handles eligibility, prescriptions, and monitoring, I focus on guiding you through the therapeutic process to help you integrate your experiences into meaningful healing.

What is Ketamine?

Ketamine is an FDA-approved anesthetic that has been widely researched for its mental health benefits. It works by blocking NMDA receptors and stimulating AMPA receptors, promoting neuroplasticity—your brain’s ability to form new connections. Many clients report enhanced mood, reduced symptoms, and an increased sense of clarity within hours of treatment.

For KAP sessions, we use a sublingual lozenge form of ketamine.

What is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy?

KAP is a legal modality that pairs ketamine treatment with dedicated psychotherapy sessions for deeper therapy, more frequent breakthroughs and better clinical outcomes. I take on the psychotherapy portion of the experience, while Journey Clinical’s medical team supports you on all medical aspects of treatment. This includes determining eligibility, developing a custom treatment plan, prescribing the medicine and monitoring outcomes. Click here for more information.

How much does it cost?

KAP is designed to be an accessible treatment option. Many costs associated with KAP are covered by insurance, but not all. Cost also differs based on modality (1:1 vs. group vs. self-guided), setting (in-person vs. virtual), and frequency of treatments. A more detailed breakdown of costs can be provided upon request.

Is KAP for me?

If you’re seeking a new approach to healing that goes beyond traditional talk therapy, KAP may be an option. Please reach out to discuss eligibility, program details, and next steps.
