Psychotherapy for Adults

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

IN-PERSON PSYCHOTHERAPY IN SAN FRANCISCO, VIRTUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY ACROSS CALIFORNIA

Whatever brought you here deserves to be taken seriously.

Please email if you'd like to request a different time than those that are available to book online.

Whether you're considering therapy for the first time or returning after years of self-reflection, your story is important. Together, we'll work to understand your experiences in context, not only to make sense of them, but to use that understanding to create room to do things differently.

I work with adults struggling with many different things, some of which include anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship dynamics, and questions of identity. Some are coming to therapy for the first time. Others have spent years trying to understand themselves and are looking for something that reaches beyond insight alone. I aim to help you use insight to create movement.

My orientation is psychodynamic and relational. In practice, that means in addition to managing symptoms, I want to understand what's underneath them. I focus on the lasting impact of earlier experiences and how they shape how we move through the world today. I pay attention to patterns, the meanings that develop around them, and the ways we learn to adapt to the relationships and circumstances that have, and continue to, shape us. Therapy offers an opportunity not only to understand those patterns, but to see that they aren't fixed, creating room for choice.

While I work with adults of all ages, most people I work with are young adults (18-35ish) who are struggling with life transitions, changing relationships, questions of identity, and distress about future goals. The quarter life crisis is real.

Above all, I try to offer a place where people can just... be. As our therapeutic relationship deepens, I hope to invite whatever is actually true for you in the room that day.

I embrace humor as an important part of therapy, when appropriate. It's never meant to minimize your experience, but instead to foster a sense of humanity and connection while engaging in such important work.

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

Ongoing, weekly psychodynamic and relational therapy for adults. Sessions are 50 minutes, and cost $200.

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy pairs the therapy relationship with the use of ketamine in a supervised clinical setting, offered in office. The work includes preparation before a session, the session itself, and integration afterward, with the same emphasis on staying close to whatever comes up, rather than directing it. It's typically considered alongside, not instead of, ongoing individual therapy.

If you're curious whether KAP might be a fit, that's exactly the kind of thing to talk through in an initial consultation.

A first email or call isn't a commitment to anything. It's just a chance to talk briefly about what's going on and whether working together makes sense. There's no pressure to have it all figured out before you write.
